Amanda Downs, Grade 2

I thank my parents for sending me to Saint Ann's. It has taught me to be a respectful and kind person. I feel I am prepared for the next step in life which is high school. I am blessed that I will be receiving my grammar school diploma from such a wonderful school.
Andrew Toth, Class of 2006

Parents

When we moved to Milford and began attending Saint Ann's Church, my wife and I attended the pre-school orientation and enrolled our daughter in Mrs. Plasky's class. Eight years later I can reflect on how our family has been enriched by the friends we have made, by the caring administrators and faculty that run this school, and by the educational and spiritual growth of our three children. I recall dropping off my daughter for her first day of 1st. grade and watching an older child stop to hold the door for her. That gesture stays with me as a symbol of the kind, respectful, helpful and courteous atmosphere that surrounds us every day. My children's grasp of important religious events and doctrine are a testament to the fine spiritual guidance provided by Father Tom and our teachers; and the long list of scholastic accomplishments of our students is a testament to our teachers' and administrators' compassionate effort to ensure our kids are well educated and well prepared for future endeavors. The slogan could not describe our experience better - "Education for the future. . .values for a lifetime."

My children receive a high quality education in a loving and nurturing environment. Saint Ann School is their "home away from home."

Mother of Andrew, Grade 8, and Stephen, Grade 3

I love Saint Ann's School because my children are in a safe, learned environment. I find the teachers and parents have the same morals and values with which I want my children to grow.
Mary Jo Downs
Mother of Anna, Grade 3, and Amanda, Grade 2

In an era where the mention of God in schools is becoming increasingly taboo, it is comforting to know that my children are encouraged to develop a positive Catholic identity and are allowed to worship and learn about God on a daily basis. Saint Ann School exemplifies the definition of a strong value based Catholic education. . .and in today's society, that is invaluable to me.

Alumni

Saint Ann School was my second home for the nine years I spent there. The teachers and students are great! Saint Ann's prepared me for high school and for life better than I could imagine. I am happy I was and still am part of Saint Ann School.

As a graduate of the Class of 1976, I have often reflected fondly on my years of schooling at the parish. Even more often, I have given thanks to God and the Church for the benefit of that schooling and education.
Reverend Robert B. Vargo '76, Vice Chancellor, Archdiocese of Hartford

As an alumnus, parishioner, and former Catholic school teacher, I have a special place in my heart for Saint Ann School. I am impressed by the talent, enthusiasm, and values displayed by our young people. Our children are a shining example of what Catholic education is all about. The foundation they receive at Saint Ann School will last a lifetime.

My class, the Class of 1964, was the first to begin in the first grade and proceed through all eight grades. It was an adventure! I have many fond memories of those early years at Saint Ann School.

Teachers

Saint Ann School is a wonderful community in which each child is acknowledged and appreciated for their individuality. Each child is encouraged to grow as an individual, socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually. Saint Ann School is a family, a home away from home.
Pat Timmeny
Teacher Grade 1

Saint Ann School is a tremendous place to teach! I love to see the students grow - as Catholics and students, as well as athletes. Each and every student at Saint Ann’s is given the opportunity to achieve anything they want to in a comfortable, safe and Catholic environment. I consider it an honor to have been a part of each child’s accomplishments at Saint Ann School.

Saint Joseph High School

The Saint Joseph High School community is very proud of the partnership we have formed with St. Ann School.  We have been blessed with the gifts and talents of numerous students, who arrive at our doors well-prepared to meet and exceed our academic expectations.  Most importantly, these students embody the best that Catholic education has to offer; a commitment to the values of the Gospel, and service to God and neighbor.  Saint Joseph builds upon the strong academic and faith foundation that students receive at St. Ann’s, as we prepare our young women and men to excel in higher education and in life.  If you’d like to find out more about the Saint Joseph community, and further develop our partnership in faith, please visit our web-site at www.sjcadets.org, or contact the school at (203) 378-9378.
