Thoughts Of A Catholic School Principal
What a wonderful start to a new school year! Our
middle school wing is complete and Grades 6, 7 and 8 are now in the
lower level. The rooms have all been painted and the Eighth Grade
room has a lovely, wall–sized World Map on a blue background. It is
really a beautiful sight.
Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade are all now on
the main level. The new Pre-K room is quite sunny and large. Watching
all those little smiles in the morning just brightens up your day. It
was a lot of hard work this summer and as usual there were many
volunteers to help. Special thanks go to Barbara and Rob Plasky for
wallpapering the World map in Grade 8. Also, many thanks to Jim
Forgette and his son Kyle for building the new Pre-K entrance. In
addition to all these new additions, the normal summer maintenance
needed to be done and without the efforts of Frank Durand and Bob
Bindner, this could not have happened. We are certainly blessed here at
St. Ann’s with so many caring and giving volunteers. And, oh yes, we
have a new roof! Thank goodness!
Each middle school student is now enthusiastically
using his or her own laptop during the school day. Updated Social
Studies and Literature texts in the Middle School have been added to the
curriculum and Grades 4, 5, and 6 also have a new reading series as
well.
We welcome many new families this year to St.
Ann’s. If you see an unfamiliar face, please take the time to introduce
yourself. We are family!
Be sure to come to our Christmas Spectacular
scheduled for November 30 and, December 1. It is going to be just that –
SPECTACULAR! We need many volunteers so please plan to keep some of
that weekend open. Tell all your friends to come and check out the
exciting happenings at St. Ann’s. Also, don’t forget to see if your
teacher is up and running at Teacherweb.com.
I want to take this time to wish all of you a
blessed and happy Thanksgiving holiday.
HAPPY FALL!
God Bless You All!
