HISTORY

image

Saint Ann School was the first Catholic grammar school in Milford. Construction began in 1955 and the school opened in 1956 for grades 1-8, staffed by sisters of the Order of Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Scranton, PA. In the course of the next decade the number of sisters available to teach diminished, and by 1978 dedicated lay teachers and principals staffed the school. A full day Kindergarten and a full day Pre-K program were successfully implemented, as well.

imageA strong school board has helped spur the growth and development of the school. A new computer lab, a refurbished library, and a science lab are only a few of the significant improvements made to the school over the years. Unwavering support from parishioners, and particularly our pastor, Father Tom, combined with an outstanding faculty, staff and parents, make Saint Ann’s a school of which we are proud.
